What is a Resource Group?
Resource Groups are composed of many different faith-based and community organizations within a geographic region. They typically meet several times a year to share fundraising ideas, leverage resources, and build community. The funds to do GAIA’s work come from a variety of sources: individual donors, foundations, churches, and religious and civic groups. In the first year of GAIA’s history, a group of volunteers of Pasadena, California, joined to work untiringly on behalf of GAIA to raise funds. This group (now known as the Southern California Resource Group) is the first of such Resource Groups.
