A Gift of Hope in honor of a loved one is another way to acknowledge special occasions or holidays while being charitable to those less fortunate. Instead of giving one more sweater or tie, your Gift of Hope will help empower and educate communities, build health care capacity and fight poverty and disease.

Your money goes a long way in Malawi. For example, a donation of $70 provides a Malawian woman entrepreneur with a loan to start her own business and $125 funds a scholarship for an orphaned child. Your gift will be acknowledged in a printed card or new eCard that can be sent directly to the honoree.

Many congregations and civic groups have made alternative giving part of their holiday season, providing the opportunity to make a Gift of Hope at holiday fairs, services, and events and encouraging members to participate. How does it work?
After you make your donation, you will be prompted to fill out a form and specify the name of the person you would like recognized for this donation. Every donation is highlighted in a printed card or eCard which will be sent to your gift recipient. Please allow at least 1 business day for receipt of eCards, and 5-7 business days for receipt of printed gift cards.
