Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance (GAIA) is committed to protecting the privacy of its donors, contacts, and website visitors. Personal Information
Whether you contact us through the website, by mail, telephone, email or other means, GAIA collects personal information upon a request to subscribe to newsletters, announcements (press releases), and multimedia stories, through registration and/or attendance at GAIA events, in communications with GAIA officers, staff, trustees, volunteers, advisors, and consultants, or as a part of applying for a job. Information is also collected when a donation is made, whether by mail, telephone, or via the website, or commerce platforms, or other means.
You are not required to provide any personal information to GAIA unless you choose to do so. However, we ask, for personal information to properly enable donation transaction processing and for tax purposes. If you make a donation to GAIA, your name and address will be placed on our mailing list (including email) for delivery of occasional updates from GAIA. Email Addresses
Our website does not automatically recognize your email address. We ask for your email address on a number of pages within our site, but you may opt out of email newsletters at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email newsletter or by emailing us at info@thegaia.org, or calling 1-415-461-7196.
Credit Card Security
GAIA is grateful for the donations that help us continue our work. It is very important to us that your personal information remain secure. GAIA processes online donations through Network for Good. These donations to GAIA will appear on your credit card statement as “Network for Good”. Network for Good is committed to safeguarding your privacy. We protect credit card information relayed to GAIA using a number of measures, such as encryption, access control, network firewalls, and physical security.
